guest judge, Bengt-Ake Borgren from Swedguest judge, Bengt-Åke Borgren from Sweden

The DSFCA Specialty Judge

The guest judge is Ole Staunskjaer from Denmark. He will be evaluating each dog during the competition. A written critique of how he evaluates your dog will be issued to all participants. This critique will be displayed on the Members Only section of the DSFCA Web site along with the past three Specialty critiques.

It is probably no exaggeration, that Ole Staunskjaer is the Danish dog person, who most obviously has made a name for Danish dog sport on the national and international scene in the past 30-35 years.

My friends and family thought I was crazy, but I was determined. I adore our “dual national” Danish Swedish Farmdog. I already know Skoen’s mother, Annika, a San Franciscan. This would be a perfect time to meet Skoen’s Father, Oh Mein Papa, aka Pingo in the Danish countryside.

Everyone screamed with joy as she pulled into the driveway, and we all filed into the house to meet our puppy for the first time. We sat down in a circle, holding treats in our laps, and trying to hold back our excitement so that he wouldn’t be scared. Hobbes quickly became comfortable with all the people, and was soon chasing his little squeaky toy around the living room.
